Carl Fogarty is a motorbike legend.
Known as ‘Foggy’ the world over, the Blackburn-based racer possesses an astonishing turn of speed and nerves of steel.
He holds four world superbike titles and one endurance title among many other victories, one of his most impressive achievements is his record-breaking lap at the iconic Isle of Man TT circuit, at an incredible 123mph. The courage needed to thread the eye of the needle, protected by only sheer talent and just a sliver of leather, is beyond belief.
Since then, his popularity has been proved by an entirely different type of victory: winning ‘I’m a celebrity, get me out of there’ on TV. Having been synonymous with Ducati in the past, these days Carl is a brand ambassador for CCM motorcycles – a bespoke British bike brand – while FORZO is his first watch collaboration.
The story behind the design
We first met Carl last year, united by a passion for watches and speed. It didn’t take long for the idea of making a watch together to form, with perfect timing as the FORZO brand was just being launched. Carl was closely involved in the project from the very beginning, designing exactly the type of watch he liked, and choosing a number of themes reflected in the overall style.
He wanted a larger watch, with a classic dial design and an uncomplicated look, making it easy to read and underlining the quality synonymous with FORZO. From there, we produced a number of prototypes that were gradually refined as the whole process went on, with Carl making a series of refinements along the way to achieve exactly what he wanted. The resulting limited edition is a clean and imposing watch, which personifies power, speed, and reliability – just like Carl himself.
"I’ve always loved watches, so it’s a real privilege for me to be involved in the design of my own watch for the first time in my life. I thought I’d done a lot of things over the years, but this has been a great new experience for me. One of the things that I wanted to commemorate was my 123mph lap at the TT, so this is a really exciting project. I’m going to be keeping the very first watch of each limited edition, and we’re hoping to create many more in the future." - Carl Fogarty
Where speed meets time in a remarkable tribute. We’re proud to introduce the very first collaboration between FORZO and motorbike legend Carl Fogarty, known all over the world just as ‘Foggy’. This unique and eye-catching range of watches was created to celebrate Foggy’s lap record speed of 123mph around the iconic Isle of Man TT circuit: the ultimate test of precision and bravery.
Sitting within our 'Gridster' watch collection, the Foggy watches are 41mm in diameter and feature a solid 316L Stainless Steel case with an integrated bracelet. It is available with Automatic 3 Hand or Mecha-Quartz Chronograph movement options.
This striking watch collection will only be available to buy during the Kickstarter project.
To mark the incredible 123mph that Carl achieved around the iconic 37-mile Isle of Man TT circuit we are limiting the early bird and collectors edition offers to 123 pieces each by movement option, but when these sell out we are offering another chance to purchase in a second production batch and then as soon as this Kickstarter project ends they will no longer be available!
Strictly Limited Edition, never to be remade - a true collectors piece.
How do you describe a legend? More than just a bike rider, ‘Foggy’ is a household name. With his trademark eyes – featured in his iconic logo – and the unthinkable speeds and records he has achieved; bravery is his second nature. Carl won seven mesmerising world titles in the 1990s with Ducati and has always been known for his unmistakable riding style. He grew up through road racing and in 1992 wrote history with the fastest lap on the Isle of Man that would remain unbeatable for seven years: at an astonishing average of 123mph.
As well as competing in world superbikes and road races, he also won the world endurance title: a sign of his adaptability to more or less anything. That’s what made Foggy a hero, along with an entirely honest and unpretentious manner. He retired from riding full-time in 2000 as reigning champion but wasn’t quite done yet, as he was back to run his own team: Foggy Petronas Racing, which fielded top riders such as Troy Corser.
By the end of 2006 this chapter of Fogarty’s life was also over, yet this would be no gentle pipe and slippers retirement. In 2014 he took part in – and won – “I’m a celebrity, get me out of here!” If you can crack reality TV and eating tarantulas, nothing holds any more fear. Today, he still rides motocross, enduro and mountain bikes for fun because he’s a man who lives his life at 100%.

Carl said to us from the outset, that if he was going to do this, he wanted to be involved personally. And that’s exactly what we wanted to hear.
